6 ramdom things about me....

OK, Sherry, you asked for it! Here are 6 random things about me...

Here are the rules:

1- Post the rules on your blog
2- List 6 random things about yourself.
3- Tag 6 people at the end of your post.
4- Let each person know they have been tagged and leave a comment on their blog.
5- Let the tagger know when your entry is up.

1. I do all the family laundry in one day. I start the first load about 8:30 in the morning and finish about 6:00 at night. There are generally about 8-10 loads on that day. My laundry day is Monday. I wear old jeans and a t-shirt on that day and don't go many places. I fold after the kids go to bed and put them away. I have tried doing laundry all during the week. It does not work for me.

2. I am a picky eater. I don't like mushrooms, onions, and some other things. I am big into the textures of foods. I only like milk chocolate. It has to be candy. I do not like white or dark chocolate. I also do not like chocolate ice cream, shakes, or pudding. It's the texture thing.

3. I did not get my driver's license until I was 21. Insurance was (and is) way expensive where I grew up. I couldn't afford it. I had a boyfriend with a car my senior year. Then I left for college in Rexburg, ID. You could walk everywhere. I did not get my license until March 1996, while I was dating Mike and 8 months before I got married.

4. I was on the swim team in high school. I was on varsity my freshman year and DQed my first race. Oh, well. I never lettered either. I swam for 3 years. I did every stroke at some point. I was consistent and dedicated but never really fast. I still do love swimming. At Ricks, the gym reeked of chlorine and I loved it. You would open the doors and smell it. I miss not being able to smell it on my skin. Crazy, I know.

5. I barely bought a blow-dryer last month. I have not had one since college and I didn't like it then. Megan got a flat-iron for Christmas. So I went and bought one so we did not have to wait for her hair to air dry. So we have the first blow-dryer in our house, ever. We still don't have a curling iron.

6. I never ditched in high school. Not once. I was the 4th from my family to go to that high school, so we had quite the reputation. But I did use it for my own means. It's amazing what teachers will let you get away with if they know and like your family! ;)

There you go! Six things about me. I'm not very exciting, that I know.

I tag....

hahaha I LOVE it and can appreciate your quirkiness since I grew up with you :P
You were the one who's "laundry day" wore off on me, I must tell you. My kids now know after years of experience that Monday is the day to bring their laundry baskets downstairs for me to sort!!
OH and GO ROWLAND RAIDERS!! Swim team rocked, loved it too and I TOTALLY know what you mean about the smell of chlorine on my skin AND in my hair, LOVED it and still miss it. Of course, I miss a lot of the good things about swim team, not least of all the nice bod I had back then:P
Thanks for the fun memories of those good ol' times!!

Wow! Lots of laundry. I put a load in before I go to bed a few nights a week because the laundry room is in the bathroom that is in my bedroom. I like the noise - it puts me to sleep.

Thanks for the tag! I'll have to work on that now.

Hope all is well.

So fun! I can't believe you did not have your license for so long.
